Track repairs with work orders
Updated September 24, 2026 · 1 min read
A work order is how a maintenance issue gets tracked instead of lost in a text thread.
When a tenant reports a repair from their portal, it shows up under Work Orders with a badge so you don’t miss it. You can also open one yourself for anything you spot.
From there you can:
- Add notes and photos as the job progresses, so there’s a record of what was found and what was done.
- Keep the status current (open, in progress, done) so everyone knows where it stands.
- Schedule the visit, which the tenant can be looped in on.
Closing the loop matters. A repair that’s tracked and finished on time is the difference between a tenant who renews and one who doesn’t.
